Death By Suspense accepted at the Long Island Independent Film Expo (LIIFE)

2011 was a great year for TeamSplash Productions  . We had the pleasure of working with great Actors; Matthew Bishop, Heather Cooper, Andrea Matiz, Cheryl Martin, Shane Mcgowin Steve Miller, Mari Mori, Johanna Straub, & Monique Stines

With their help we were able to complete 3 film races ("Big Trouble, Oakwood Road" "Night Of the Living House" "Death By Suspense")  1 audition entree, (Shane Mcgowin's Face off Season 3 Audition) and 3 short side projects ("The Guardian" "Ouija Bored" "Lady in Black".)

Now TeamSplash ProductionsDeath by Suspense has been accepted at the LIIFE. The last entry we had at LIIFE was Team Zed (Created in 2009 and premiered at the 2010 LIIFE) which was received very well, so we are expecting something even bigger and better! This is where you come in. They will be premiering Death By Suspense July 16th (7:45pm) at the Bellmore Theatre. You can come and support TeamSplash Productions by voting for us at the screening. There will be a lot of great shorts and maybe even a feature at the screening so it will be worth it to come down.

2011 was a busy year and 2012 will be even busier, thanks to all your help!

Death by Suspense: A Film Noir Comedy Suspense Horror

Its been a while since we here at TeamSplash Productions have updated the website, and by golly it seams as if we have forgotten to mention our latest endeavor!

"Death by Suspense" Made for the 2011 National Film Challenge. Teams were given 3 days to write, shoot, and edit a 7 minute short film based on the following assignment:
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --
Genres: Choice between Thriller/Suspense or Musical and/or Western
Prop: Lightbulb
Character: Casey Scott, a bicyclist
Line: "It's probably poisonous."
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

Now that this film is finished TeamSplash Productions is taking all the shorts we did from 2011 and trying something new. We will be making our films into an anthology. What is an anthology you may be asking? Well sir/madame an anthology is when the films are put together in a way that makes them all connected in some way, shape or form.

We have a few ideas in mind on how to make this feat work, and when it is finally complete the finished product will be a completely new project in itself.

Since there is going to be a bit more work put into, we think another contest is in order! So TeamSplash Productions is unveiling the MEME CONTEST! We will be uploading Screen captures from each of the 4 films we made this year. We want to see who can come up with the best Meme. If you don't know what a Meme is, well that's what Google is for. So pick a pic and go nuts! Upload them on your facebook and tag Team Splash !

Friday Update

Another week has come and gone! FilmRacing.com had pushed back the date of the awards for NYC to today! So keep and ear out for the winners.

Also TeamSplash Productions met with the actress who will be playing 'The Lady in Black' Miss Cheryl Martin.  Last summer TeamSplash Productions was interviewed by Ms. Martin at the LIIFE in Belmore.

Fast forward, TeamSplash Productions and some friends are hanging out in town, when the bartender asks if we were at LIIFE. The bartender is none other than Cheryl Martin. We get to talking and we pitch 'The Lady in Black' to her and the rest is history.

This weekend TeamSplash Productions will shoot principal photography of the film. However we still need some help. If you will be around 8 - 4 on Sunday 6/12 please contact us Email

Things we will need:
  • Photographer
  • Black car/suv/truck
  • Extras
  • Green Screen helpers
Any and All help will be appreciated. Thanks again

The Lady in Black

Any given day, events are set in place like dominoes. When you make a choice, that choice creates its own chain of events which will inevitably lead you to your demise. Not such an optimistic view but the truth none the less. Your choices can prolong said outcome, but for how long? What else has an influence over your final day?

TeamSplash Productions has seen the one responsible. The saboteur of all your choices, the one who will see you in to your grave. The Lady in Black is just one of her names. She is a clever one. Toying with the innocent and torturing the guilty. It is all but a game to her. However we have seen her weaknesses and we know her powers have limits.

TeamSplash Productions knows where she sleeps and will track The Lady in Black down. Maybe just maybe, we can stop her and see her to her own grave.

Seeking Fundraisers

TeamSplash Productions has finished writing its first Feature Film. We are now in the final phase of pre-production.

How can you help? Well we will be taking donations to help with project start up in the upcoming months.

What is 'The Aperture?'
The Trenton Brothers, Sam and Bruce, are behind schedule on their senior film. They are out of money and out of time, as a last ditch effort Sam makes the decision to continue to their final location, without telling anyone they are broke. Soon the crew starts to disappear and strange supernatural events start taking place. What or who is behind these disappearances?

What kind of donations are you taking? Pretty much anything will help. We found a website called Kickstart and we have registered with them, hopefully we can work together with them and raise some money. All donations will be put towards film production and DVD production.

More info to come soon.

Thanks
TeamSplash Productions

A Busy Week

Whats happening this week? Nothing much I'm glad you asked. But seriously very much has, in fact happened. TeamSplash Productions released the blooper reel from 'Big Trouble Oakwood Rd,' started using something called twitter, updated the website for supreme internetage, and uploaded the film we had started shooting for the 24 Hour Film Festival but was scrapped., 'Operation: Moonpoop'

You can check out 'Operation: Moonpoop' on our website TeamSplash Productions Official Website

This is all fine and dandy, but I bet you are all want to know what is happening next, why the revamping of the website, why is the legal drinking age 21 in America but 16 in Europe? Folks, I don't have all the answers but I can tell you that today Thursday 5/26/2011 TeamSplash Productions will be scouting out locations for another short film that we have written called 'Lady in Black' and there is also a secret film already uploaded on the internet.

A secret film? But aren't all TeamSplash Productions's films secret films? Hey you better watch what you say! The film's title is 'The Guardian' and a select few have seen the film in its infant stages, but now a more adolescent version of the film is available for viewing. However, it will remain a secret until it graduates H.S for now, if you want to lend a hand to  TeamSplash Productions message us and we will send you a copy for you to review. The purpose of this is to get the film ready for some upcoming Festivals that we are preparing for.

The 24 Hour Film Race Results

Its been two weeks since the screening for 'Big Trouble Oakwood Rd.' and FilmRacing.com will be posting the results in a few short days. We at TeamSplash Productions wanted to take the time to say how awesome the 24 Hour Film Race was this year. Charlie Weisman of FilmRacing.com had the Galapagos Art Space of Brooklyn host the event, and it was fantastic. The atmosphere was fantastic and the films this year were really incredible.

Love you sweeties!

TeamSplash Productions would like to thank Matt Bishop, Ed Woolsey, Shane McGowin & Steve Miller for helping make 'Big Trouble Oakwood Rd.' such a success. Film races such like this can be taxing on patience, stressful and tiring, and when you have no idea what you are going to make its hard to ask for help. Needless to say TeamSplash Productions is definitely proud of 'Big Trouble Oakwood Rd.' and we cannot wait to make another.

New Team Splash Flick: "Big Trouble Oakwood Rd."

This past Friday 4/29/11 TeamSplash Productions entered FilmRacing.com's 24 Hour Film Race! Time flies, not 4 years ago TeamSplash  released "Yadhtrib" with new friend and film-maker Bernard "B.J." Jackson joining the crew. Since then, TeamSplash Productions has made four films for FilmRacing.com, two films for the National Film Challenge and one for FilmRacing's Grand Prix, that is until "Big Trouble Oakwood Rd." was finished.

Last night was the screening for "Big Trouble Oakwood Rd." and I can say from experience the screening was awesome. So many good films and the event was held at the Galapagos Art Space in Brooklyn, which has a very cool atmosphere for events like this. Our film was close to the end number 17 of 20 films, when it came on the big screen we were a little nervous at how people would react to it. As the movie progressed it seemed that the audience was really getting into it, and just at the credits began to roll the audience erupted with laughter! It was definitely an awesome feeling.

After the screening Charlie Weissman of FilmRacing asked all the film makers to come up and do a little Q & A session. After the Q & A Charlie announced the Audience favorite award and low and behold TeamSplash Productions won!! TeamSplash Productions graciously accepted the award and gave a slightly intoxicated speech, so what else is new, to a room filled with film makers from all over the tri-state area.

After the event people approached us to talk shop ans swap stories. This year is off to a great start!

24 Hour Film Race

The weekend goes by so quickly when you are working with no sleep. This years 24 Hour Film Race had some new challenges. Not only did you have a Theme and Action but they added in a Prop. Usually FilmRacing only has a Theme and either an action or prop.

Team Splash Productions worked hard throughout Friday night and Saturday morning to get this years film completed. Remember Team Splash took off last year, we did not enter any film races or challenges.  Now we are back in full swing and looking forward to the Grand Prix, The National Film Challenge and any others we may come across.

Here is the rundown of this year's 24 Hour Film Race:
Theme: Identity Theft
Prop: Flower
Action: Answering the phone

What type of film do you think Team Splash did for Film Racing?

What type of film do you think Team Splash should do more of?
